Gurvikdal Sea Angling Centre or Frøya Sea Angling Centre as it used to be called wasn’t in our catalogue since 2000. The centre has a new owner, renovation work for the new season is underway and is transforming this fishing camp into one of the most comprehensive sea angling centres on the coast. The amenities include a large filleting house, a freezing house, an ice-maker and a drying room for fishing clothes. On site there is also a tackle shop, and a typical Norwegian fisherman’s gathering place at the water’s edge. The charter boat MV Øyvær is available at the quay to take anglers fishing. Roger is available every day to ensure your comfort and satisfaction. Safety is given top priority here so everyone is individually instructed regarding the sea and the fishing grounds, as the pleasures and perils of the open sea are both close-by here. The centre lies in Straumfjord; a huge run of spring cod move into the fjord in February, March, April and May. There are 4 well equipped apartments, each for 4-8 people available for rent. Allotted to each apartment is a 20 ft aluminium boat with 40 hp outboard engine, chartplotter and echo sounder. There is a sauna, drying room, washing machine and a terrace with grill for general use.
